Quick links
Use these shortcuts if you already know where you want to go.
What employers notice first
- A clear job headline that says what kind of work you want.
- Real work experience written in simple, confident language.
- Your location and whether you are available right now.
- Skills, certifications, and qualifications that back up your claims.
- References that show you have worked reliably before.
Make employers stop scrolling and call you first
A weak profile gets ignored. A strong profile quickly tells an employer who you are, what you can do, and why you are worth contacting.
Write a strong headline
Instead of something vague like Looking for work, say exactly what you do, for example Experienced nanny available weekdays in Durbanville or Reliable gardener and handyman in Midrand.
Be specific about experience
Tell employers what work you have done, for how long, and what you were trusted with. Specifics feel safer and more believable than generic claims.
Show reliability
Mention punctuality, trustworthiness, references, long-term roles, or repeat work. Employers are not only hiring skills, they are hiring peace of mind.
List the skills that matter
Add practical skills that match the kinds of jobs you want, such as child care, cooking, driving, cleaning, admin, retail, customer service, welding, painting, or security.
Add qualifications and documents
If you have certificates, training, permits, or other useful documents, include them. Proof helps employers take your profile more seriously.
Keep it honest and current
Never exaggerate. Employers will compare your profile with interviews, references, and the job requirements. Accurate profiles build trust faster.
A simple checklist before you finish
- Use your real full name and the kind of work you want in your headline.
- Add your location so employers understand where you are based.
- Fill in your work experience with real duties and time periods.
- Add skills, qualifications, certifications, and references.
- Mark your availability correctly so employers know if they can contact you now.
- Review spelling and grammar so your profile looks professional.
What happens after you create it?
Once your Job Seeker Profile exists, you can keep improving it over time by adding more detail, more experience, and stronger references.
When you are ready, complete the next steps inside your profile so employers can discover you more easily and you can take full advantage of the VulaMart Jobs tools.
The strongest profiles are not the longest ones. They are the clearest, most believable, and easiest for an employer to trust.
